Recording & Submission Guidelines
- Music tracks/instrumental, vocal tracks and reference to the original song or a rough demo mix (for original songs and unique arrangements) are required for song mixes. A reference is also helpful for tuning/timing commissions.
- All vocal tracks should be exported acapella (no music) with no effects and roughly aligned to the music track.
- Vocals should be rendered so that no lines overlap in the same file
-
WAV, AIFF, or 320kbs MP3 is the preferred format for best quality.
For voice over demos, ensure you are recording in WAV or AIFF at a rate of either 44.1khz 16 bit or 48khz 24 bit - Please zip/rar all files prior to sending/uploading.
- Please avoid distortion, clipping, reverb, hissing, mic pops and other background noise in recordings. I can clean up files, but there is a limit to my abilities. The mix will also sound better if noises are avoided to begin with.
- Please ensure you are singing as in-tune and in-time as possible when recording for a song. I offer tuning and timing as part of song mixing commissions and as separate services, but your commission will sound better if you perform at your best then have me put the finishing touches on instead of relying on digital tools to fix everything.
- I reserve the right to decline a commission due to poor mic or vocal quality.
- I reserve the right to decline a demo reel if the provided recordings are not up to industry standards
- For music, I am most proficient at pop mixes (see samples). While I am willing to take on more aggressive sounding mixes such as metal or screamo, please note I may not be the best choice for the most polished results.
- For demo reels, please include a copy of the demo reel script including any notes made by the writer or director
Note: For voice over demos, I do not guarantee auditions or opportunities. I can only promise to deliver a quality mix with the materials I am given. It is up to your own skills and the decision of the casting director as to whether you are hired from your demo.
